Anonymous asked:

Which Lilith character(s) would you like to be raped by? (And, no, I'm not sure if this is a serious question or not.)

If I had to choose, Kousuke, because even I could overpower him.

Anonymous asked:

What video game overall frustrated you the most?

For me, I think it's the first Touhou game; in short it's nightmarishly difficult, even for the series' standards (although those obv get established later).

I can't remember, because I've barely played any games in eight years. There's VVVVVV, but that's a good kind of seething anger.

The only thing that's really coming to mind is back when I played FF7 with the Beacause patch. It changes things in such a way that one mandatory minigame in Junon is virtually impossible, and I spent a solid hour of increasing frustration trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.

Heloo rattan, im planning on getting into taimainin yukikaze 2, and i see u did some mentions but im not so versed in all these things, i see u have posted a package/dl animation download, is there i should keep in mind or do i install both etc?

You use whichever one corresponds to the version you have. If you buy it online, use the DL patch.

Anonymous asked:

When does the world end ?

In 2012. They tried to warn us.

Anonymous asked:

Ive seen many other translators burn out after 1 project, or even before they do one project. How do you do it, how do you keep going?

By getting very used to immense boredom. It's basically a matter of discipline. Once you get into the habit of being productive with your time, it becomes natural.

Anonymous asked:

Can I ask for a request for Type Zero from alicesoft?

Okay.

Anonymous asked:

Whats your favorite game you have played ?

My pick is BioShock 1 (xbox360)

As I think I've said a million times, I don't have explicit favourites of anything. Games that come to mind include Age of Mythology, Thief, Super Mario RPG, Oblivion... How are you meant to compare those against each other?

Anonymous asked:

Do you own a console ?

I have a Wii, which shows how modern I am.

Anonymous asked:

H-hello sir, it's me, the guy in the hole in your basement. Could you eh umm, maybe drop me a ladder? Or not even a ladder, I'll take a rope if you have one. Or not even a rope, just throw me a pair of ice picks so I can get out of here oh god please let me out

Nice try. Like I'm about to fall for the old hell-pit spelunker trick.

Anonymous asked:

One of the previous questions someone else asked you made me wonder, do you have a basement?

No. I just have a massive hole, leading deep into the earth. I don't know what all the screaming at the bottom is, but I'm not about to find out.

Anonymous asked:

Whats happened to ziz-entertainment?

They're still around. They just barely do anything anymore. I can only imagine that the AVs and animations aren't bringing in the cash they used to.

Anonymous asked:

If you can rape 1 eroge character in your basement, who will you choose ?

I couldn't choose. I don't have favourites. I barely even have attachments to characters.

Anonymous asked:

Hi Rattan Man whats your favorite Incest game ?

I don't have one. I genuinely don't remember if I've ever played an incest game.

Anonymous asked:

Do you think we will ever get a proper Taimanin and Annerose crossover in the visual novel series?

No. They're warming up to her in gacha, but that's the best we can expect.

Anonymous asked:

What do you think of the official release of RPGX in English and do you think they should hired you considering your knowledge on the franchise?

I really hope they take it more seriously than they did with TABA. RPGX is far more story-focused, and has reached the point where some events are a tenth of the length of a game like TY1 or KS2. It's going to be a lot more work to do all the chapters and events, and I don't really trust them to not be lazy about it.

There's no reason why they should think of hiring or consulting me, because my knowledge is no greater than that of any other fan. But they should familiarize themselves with the series in general, especially its tone and style. Even though RPGX is very different from the VNs, given the emphasis on story, they should strive not to make the same kind of mistakes they did with TABA.

I tried checking out English TABA early on, and I saw a number of things that I didn't like, including:

  1. The translators either not having context explained to them, or not being familiar with the source material at all, to the point where they translated the "Pieces of Murasaki" as "Purple Shards".
  2. The translators having to make guesses about Romanization, because they hadn't been given any by Lilith themselves. This can result in things being wildly off, such as when they localize Anje as Angers.
  3. Playing up to porn sensibilities all the time, even when not appropriate. The most blatant example I saw was the occasion where they translated Murasaki's ninja art (which I typically translate as something like "Immortality Awakening") as "Undying Lust". The reason for this is that the word that I translate as "awakening" can also mean "arousal". As anybody who's read the VNs knows, the lore and action parts are largely played straight (at least, when they're not being written by Sonoda Masaki). They therefore need to be approached from a serious angle, rather than a pornographic one.
  4. Sex scenes arbitrarily altered to remove references to things like smegma (despite all the other things they didn't censor).
  5. The smut writing changed from the distinctly Japanese style of "Good! It feels gooood!" to more Westernized porn phrases like "Oh yes! I love it!" Note how different that would make a rape scene: In the original version, a character might be chagrined by the pleasure, but be so overwhelmed by it that they can't help but cry out. In the Western version, they now suddenly approve of it.
Now, this isn't to say that they don't have good translators working for them—from what I could tell, some are perfectly decent. But others seem like they're phoning it in, or changing things arbitrarily. The above is my experience based on some of the early TABA events, and on the scenes that I retranslated for TY2. It's possible that they got their act together as time went on. But on the other hand, I have heard about similarly lazy things in Action Taimanin, such as them arbitrarily replacing an item's entire description with a Meet the Spy reference. So I hope they don't repeat past mistakes, but I'm not putting money on it.

Anonymous asked:

It seems that progress for you next translation is slowing down, are you having trouble with the editing?

No. I've just been too busy with my actual job.

Anonymous asked:

Do the rpgx ntr scenes ever explain why Fuuma got held hostage

I don't know. I assume some of them must have explained the circumstances, but it's just a quick plot setup. I don't imagine you actually get to see it happen or anything.

Luna asked:

Hello, would you happen to know what happened to the Taimanin server?

I'm presuming you mean the Discord server that has been mentioned here in the past. I don't know anything about it, because I got kicked out for inactivity ages ago. I did hear that it was disappearing from people's lists, so it's probably just gone. I assume Discord shut it down, as I hear they are wont to do for very little reason. This is why we need to go back to a decentralized internet, where your ability to communicate is not hampered by corporate sanitization and ideological whim.

Anonymous asked:

Why is grass blue?

Sounds like you're huffing the really good particles.

Anonymous asked:

Why is the sky blue ?

According to NASA's website, the Earth's atmosphere is filled with particles of gas, and this makes the sky appear blue to us, because it gets us high off our asses. This is also why we experience so many mass-hallucinations, such as Florida.

Anonymous asked:

Do you think there is a place for black lilith to carry on Abe's will and release a bunch of preggo focused content?

Sorry, Anon, it's over. No more Japanese babies. Lilith can't save them now.

Anonymous asked:

So apparently the Kangoku Senkan series takes place 200 years after the Taimanin series (got to love Lilith-Soft's retcons).

Sure it does.

That said, where would you think Chronos would take place on the timeline for the "Lilith-verse"?

Nowhere. It's set in the 2500s, but I don't even think it's intended to be in the same universe as Kangoku Senkan. One has aliens and the other has warring human factions. The idea that all these games somehow share a universe is simply gacha bullshit.

Anonymous asked:

Happy America's Birthday! How do you choose to celebrate the land of freedom?

By firing a gun full of hamburgers at a bald eagle.

Anonymous asked:

Sorry to ask you through this but, I have read somewhere that you are doing a patch for Dirty Prison Ship? Is that true? If so that is fantastic news.

No. It's Hyouryuu Kangoku Chronos, one of Butcha-U's hundred other "aliens rape space marines" games.

Anonymous asked:

How'd ya respond if someone crashlanded on yo mattress, did a backflip into a pile of ashes, and knocked you out with a trashlid?

Probably by lying there motionlessly for several hours.
