Anonymous asked:

Is there anyway to donate to you for the service that you have provided?

I don't accept donations at this time. I consider that a last resort.

Anonymous asked:

What's your favourite non-Lilith visual novel?

Tsukihime. Also, please be aware that this type of question is on the "sick of being asked" list.

Anonymous asked:

Do you like NTR? Like, if there is a yukikaze edition where they cut out Tatsurou and just have her get raped silly with no cuckening happening, would you like it more or less than the NTR version?

I'm fine with it. An NTR-free version of Taimanin Yukikaze would be virtually the same. TY2 would suffer, because it would suddenly be a pretty mundane training game, free of any kind of edge or drama.

Anonymous asked:

Are there any bokugirl taimanin?

I don't know. Maybe among the gacha roster, but I can't think of one in the main series.

Anonymous asked:

Why are there so few anime girl buttsluts. Even if they get their asshole remodeled you get like 1 scene and they stick it in the pussy again.

There are some things I can't answer.

Anonymous asked:

why do you think you havent been cease and desisted yet by lilith?

Probably because I don't pose a threat to them. I have been DMCAd by DMM for doing gacha scenes, since they probably see that as a direct form of piracy.

Anonymous asked:

Is this blog the only place you post information regarding work you do with your translations?

Yes, although I now post status updates on Twitter as a backup.

Do you personally update the status of work on translation your working on vndb for example Taimanin Kurenai https://vndb.org/r78793

No.

if not where do they get their information.

I'm presuming from here.

Anonymous asked:

What's your opinion of Lune?

I don't think I have one. They make too many types of games for me to really get a handle on them.

Anonymous asked:

Which Taimanin "sub-heroine" do you think should get their own solo game? Sakura is a long time coming, but I would also be interested in seeing Rinko get her own game.

I don't know about Sakura. She seems like she's designed to be a secondary heroine, getting it worse than the main character and ending up more broken, as they tend to. The logical answer would be Asuka, since she was being set up as a de facto successor to Asagi before they retconned which ending was canon.

Anonymous asked:

Are you doing all of these translating alone or do you have friends who help you?

Alone.

Anonymous asked:

Do you like reverse rape?

Yes.

Anonymous asked:

Do you think these goddamn gacha companies are ever gonna go back to developing the games and worlds that their gacha girls are based on? I can only enjoy hentai with plot in it and lately only manga has delivered

Only if the gacha games fail. Empress tried to jump on the bandwagon, but they had no centralized setting, gimmick or draw, apart from "Sei Shoujo did the art, and it somehow didn't take him twenty years". As a result, it got lost in a sea of other generic gacha games, and they were forced to start making VNs again.

Anonymous asked:

Do you think fuuma kotarou is attractive? Would you let him fuck your bussy? Would you fuck his bussy?

I think he's got a decent character design. In terms of attractiveness, the answer is... I guess. Kind of. It depends on my mood.

Anonymous asked:

Do you think the hentai industry is growing or dying? Feels like the hentai of the past had more diversity in what was produced and nowadays it's about whatever Bunnywalker is gonna produce

I have a feeling you're talking about anime, in which case I couldn't tell you. I get the impression it's dying.

Anonymous asked:

Do you have a favourite illustrator that you follow on Twitter or Pixiv? If you do, who is it?

No. I don't follow anyone.

Anonymous asked:

What is your opinion on orc-soft?

Many of their games look fine, but I can't really touch them. More and more of them are getting official localizations, so they're not safe options.

Anonymous asked:

How time-consuming is the proofread phase? I imagined proofreading 30% of a short visual novel would only take a couple of hours at most, but this phase seems to drag on for weeks like the other phases. How does that work?

You would think that, but it's proved not to be a good idea. Underestimating the amount of time to do editing and proofreading was one of the key reasons why my first version of Taimanin Murasaki was so poor: I got impatient and tried to rush things, and I somehow ended up introducing plenty of mistakes as a result.

Over time, I've been putting more and more concentration into proofreading, because it's my last chance to catch errors and inconsistencies before the full release. You would think it would be as simple as playing the game, but you actually have to read every line a bit more slowly, and with heavy concentration. You're looking for typos (and spelling inconsistencies); potential lines skipped by the engine; sentences which avoidably don't flow well; phrasing which could be easily misinterpreted; and things which made sense when looking purely at the script, but turn out to be wrong (voice acting that changes the interpretation of a pause, avoidable inconsistencies between the details as written and their depictions in the CGs, plurals or singular nouns that should be the other way around, etc.). I say "avoidable" because sometimes the CGs are just wrong (which happens a spectacular amount in this particular game), or you need to keep something that sounds awkward in order to preserve a nuance, or to make sense of a later line that explicitly references it.

All of that sounds complicated, but it really just means that I have to pay close attention in case I miss anything (or worse, introduce anything). I did the whole of TA3 in about 3 weeks—which, these days, is how long I would spend on a sixth of a game its length. I have a horrible feeling that my rapid proofreading probably did some damage to TA3 in places, and I'm going to need to re-edit it at some point to compensate. For that matter, if my chronological mod of TY2 hadn't required me to proofread twice, I would have completely missed a line in which I had Kuroi refer to Rinko as "Rinko-nee". That wasn't in the script, but it survived three whole phases of scrutiny because I was so used to reading it that my brain just glossed over it. I want to avoid missing things this obvious, and time is the unfortunate sacrifice for that.

Anonymous asked:

Has TABA died yet, or why is it still clinging itself onto a thread of pity life?

It died three years ago. They tried to keep it going, but they clearly had all their resources tied up with RPGX at that point.

Anonymous asked:

do you prefer futa on male or futa on female

Female, I guess.

Anonymous asked:

How difficult is the whole process of translating these types of games? Is it more tedious or complicated to do so? Is it easy for someone to do it or does it take a lot of knowledge and experience to do?

I'd say it's easy, but most people fail because it's also extremely boring. It can be complicated if there are some kind of obnoxious engine problems, but most of the games I've dealt with have been quite straightforward once you crack them open.

Anonymous asked:

Have you ever wondered why the villains force the captured to drink their piss

What? No, of course not. It's like you've never even raped someone before.

Anonymous asked:

Would you be interested in a miko taimanin?

I guess, but I doubt that would make for a very interesting design. What can you really do, other than make them look like a standard miko?

Anonymous asked:

Is there any other IPs out there that shares some similarities with the Taimaninverse?

That really depends on what similarities you're looking for. Across the various branches, there's everything from ryona, torture and snuff, to basic degradation and netorare, to vanilla harem scenes. The easiest course of action would be to look up the games on VNDB (or their CG sets on a hentai image site), and browse through the tags you're interested in until you find something similar.

Anonymous asked:

Do you know how to contact Lilith Soft? I have a question about one of their artbooks.

I think the only way is through their website form.

Anonymous asked:

You ever wonder what goes through the writer's head when they decide to do certain stuff like that certain Kurenai dog bowl scene

No. That's the sort of thing Lilith games are meant to have. The annoying part is them backing out of it the moment they had to actually depict the act.

Anonymous asked:

Hi, sorry to bother you, I'm having issues with Diviner Knight Towako Animation, and you are the only "VinosWinPlayer" expert I know.

When I try launching it, I get the following error message: "The input is not a valid Base-64 string as it contains a non-base 64 character, more than two padding characters, or a non-white space character among the padding characters"

I tried downloading the game again, and it worked the first time I launched it, only to display the same error thereafter. Yukikaze 2 the animation which is also VinosPlayer still works fine.

Any ideas on what could be the cause or solution? I already tried disabling my anti-virus, and google is full of coding talk.

Thanks for all the work you do, also.

This is the first time I've heard of this problem occurring. Vinos seems to simply not work for a lot of people, and there's no clear reason why. Assuming that you've already put your system into Japanese locale, perhaps it's the result of some path or file name getting screwed up. A lot of my Google results appear to revolve around encryption keys, so maybe the encryption key for the data file is being misread.

Anonymous asked:

Do you know how to contact RUNQ?

Yes. Use the email address in his readme file.

Anonymous asked:

I want to learn how to translate visual novels, how can I learn about this? Is there a tutorial online? I know I should master Japanese first, I'm already working on it, but how about the programming stuff? Such as editing and patching?

First of all, check out what's left of TLwiki. It may be somewhat out of date, but it can at least point you in the right direction when it comes to how to work with files. There are general-purpose programs such as GARbro that can unpack most games, but the tricky thing is finding an application that will repack those files into a useable patch. Depending on the engine, there may or may not even be such a program. There are many situations where an engine has no available tools, and you're simply screwed. Sometimes you can get the engine to accept raw files, but not always.

If you can get a workable script, all you need to do is open it in Japanese encoding and edit the thing. I have never needed to use a hex editor or anything like that, but I hear there are cases where you would.

A concerned salaryman asked:

What do you think of the recent rise of mesugakis?

I'm for it. It's about time children were good for something.

Anonymous asked:

Do you eventually see yourself translating Boku no Elf Onee-san perhaps?

Maybe. There's a good possibility, but it's not necessarily top of the list.

Anonymous asked:

5 questions

at what year you discover taimanin asagi

Probably around 2008 or 2009.

top 5-10 pornstars

I don't pay attention to things like that.

pc specs

Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 4 GB graphics. Until recently, I was working off a rapidly-decaying eight-year-old laptop with 8 GB RAM, 512 MB graphics and a 5600 rpm hard drive.

i think u said u bisexual is that true?

Yes, but I don't see why this gets brought up so often. I never do gay content. This is a straight, God-fearing blog, and it doesn't take kindly to my heathen ways.

are you canadian, i know u from tumblr long time ag

Yes.

Anonymous asked:

Two questions.

why do you hate mama wa taimanin

I don't hate it per se. It's simply not a Taimanin game. It's a domestic-setting straight shota game that they tried to cram Taimanin stuff into to make it sell more.

why you do think hentai (ero anime) is declining (I hope this isnt too broad of a question).

No idea, but the answer is probably money.

Anonymous asked:

Can you eventually translate Nerawareta Megami Tenshi Angeltear?

Possibly, but not necessarily likely. It's supposed to be a long game, and I don't even know if it can be patched.

Anonymous asked:

are you a hikikomori by any chance

If only. I still have to go out and do things.

Anonymous asked:

You ever wondered what happened to Kokonoki Nao? Dude did two units for rpgx and then disappeared

I've never heard of him, so no.

Anonymous asked:

Do you think Lilith will release "conventional" visual novels in the future or will they stick to gachas like Taimanin RPGX and Action Taimanin?

I think everybody who would normally write the VNs is too busy with RPGX. They would have to invest some of their money into hiring more writers, so they can free up their creative staff—but if they're going to do that, why wouldn't they put it into RPGX instead, since that makes a whole lot more?

Anonymous asked:

Hello, I hope you're doing well. Just wanna say thanks for your work translating all these games, it's awesome to see. So much so that I was inspired to try making my own translation mod. The game I am trying to make a translation for is running on the Artemis engine and I can see you make your own .pfs patches, so I would like to ask if you are able to share the tools you use to make these patches with me. It would be a huge help as I'm still learning and so far I have not been able to properly make my own patches.

Any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks for your time. Respect.

Here's what I used. Also, please tell me what game it is, in case of conflicts. I happen to know that Seigi no Henshin Heroine wo Sasaeru Ore to Aku no Onna Kanbu is still being worked on by somebody else. I also have one Lilith Artemis engine game fairly high-up on my list, so I need to know if it's still going to be an option going forward. I'm starting to really run out of good prospects.

Anonymous asked:

What's the "game plan" for Chronos? Are you going to translate the canon route first for the 35% mark?

I'm going to translate whatever scenes come first in the script. Whether that's the canon route, I don't know.

Anonymous asked:

What do you plan on picking up once this one is finished? I'm assuming Mama Taimanin, since she's the last game untranslated?

Chronos. I don't consider Mama to be a real Taimanin game. It gets no special consideration.

Anonymous asked:

Do you still have the final patch for Misleet? I read on vndb that it was uploaded on your blog before it was shutdown. I tried using the wayback machine to get it, but it didn't have an archive of the link on your post. I also tried looking for it on other sites, but I don't know if they're using the final patch or the previous patch.

Here's what I've got. There isn't really a "previous" patch: This is a modified version of the original, which somebody wanted me to host ages ago. If you already have the original patch, there should be virtually no difference to the script.

Anonymous asked:

What has been of Kagami? Is he working on anything? What has been the last game or thing he did? That you know about of course

As far as I know, he's just doing RPGX scenes.

Anonymous asked:

Do you like tomboys? Would you like to see a tomboy taimanin,?

I guess, but I don't see how that would be much different.

Anonymous asked:

I remember you released TY2 before it was finished translating, do you think you will make it a habbit to release the patches before completion for people to see how far you gotten?

Yes. I've been producing partial patches since TA0.

Anonymous asked:

It terms of length, how does the word count of your current project, Taimanin Kurenai, compares to your next project, Chronos the Floating Prisonship?

I don't use word or character count. I go by line count. By those terms, Kurenai is a very standard length for modern Lilith games, whereas Chronos is surprisingly short, only 800 lines longer than Taimanin Murasaki.

Anonymous asked:

So maika is now playable in AT any thoughts on that

Not really. I haven't had the time to keep up with Action Taimanin. I also think pretty much nothing of Maika: To me, she's still just Generic Taimanin OC #418, since that's what she was in the TABA days.

Anonymous asked:

What your opinion on Rinko and Real as a "couple" in the bad endings of TY1? Personally, I prefer Real as Rinko's "master", as opposed to Kuroi, who I felt should have been the focus villain in Yukikaze's routes. I hope that Real makes a return in TY3 (if it ever gets made) as the main villain for Rinko's route.

It would have been better if there were any real buildup to it. As it is, it felt kind of hollow to me.

Anonymous asked:

Who do you think was the better Taimanin Yukikaze villain, Yazaki Muneichi or Kuroi Ryuuji?

Kuroi's basically a discount Edwin Black. Yazaki has actual motivation beyond just being the designated bad guy.

Anonymous asked:

Hi, would you consider translating ~Haha to Shimai no Kyousei~?

Maybe.

Anonymous asked:

Since youre almost done with all the remaining taimanin games do you think you'd translate the Onna Ninja Azusa vs Orc series? It literally looks like its part of the taimanin universe and figured you'd be interested in it.

There's a reason it looks that way. It's a direct rip-off, up to and including the tracing of CGs. I can put another notch next to it, but I personally don't want to reward that kind of lazy bullshit in any way.
