How would rank the women of Chronos based on their competency and fighting abilities?

We're getting into "just play the game" territory here. Only two of them can fight, and neither can defeat aliens.

Anonymous asked:

What is group dynamic like between the 5 women of Chronos? From my understanding, Silvia and Soiree have a rivalry with each other,  Manuela is the loner, and Emina is basically the mom of the crew.

There is no group dynamic per se. Silvia and Soiree dislike each other, Claire's just a junior officer, Manuela has something wrong with her, and Emina is the cool-headed commander. With the exception of Emina and Manuela, they spend very little time together.

Do you think its kinda a waste that Tendou in Taimanin Kurenai just gets killed off? It was refreshing to have an antagonist in this series to have goals beyond just "I want to rule the world" or "I want to rape/degrade women", I think he could have been like a 3rd party that while the Taimanin would want to end him, he'd also not really be in good terms with a lot of the major villain groups.

Well, that's basically TABA Fuuma.

I don't think Tendou is that interesting or charismatic a character. His motivations would have been refreshing if they didn't feel like such an afterthought. I get the feeling that they intended that game to be grander, and then had to rush it more and more as time went on. His entire backstory and motivation was crammed in rather awkwardly, at a point when the story is practically over.

Anonymous asked:

What are the chances of making Oyako Rankan?

At the moment, the odds of it being picked are pretty remote, but that only changes if people bother to ask for it.

I read the request and I wonder since I heard the engine of that game is weird ?

I haven't looked into the engine at all.

If it's possible may I ask for another request?

Yes.

Anonymous asked:

When I look for the RunQ patches all links lead back to your old tumblr blog (which is down obv). Will you rehost them here?

They're already here. Check his VNDB page for direct links.

Anonymous asked:

Can I put a vote for Oyako Rankan to be translated?

Okay.

Anonymous asked:

Any chance of Liquid games? While Kuroinu is spoken for, there are a number of series that could fit similar themes to Lilith (e.g. Saint Dorei Gakuen/Daisaimin Rankou Gakuen/Daisaimin/Sento Reido Gakuen/Sento Dorei Gakuen, Mashou no Nie, etc).

Liquid’s a possibility, although I’m always wary of companies that have a strong relationship with localizers like MangaGamer. I don’t know if they’ve done any Liquid games recently, but you never know what they’ll pick up next.

Anonymous asked:

Just wanted to know if you had any plans of translating Mama wa Taimanin in the future. Thanks for all the hard work! Really appreciate it.

Not the near future, but it could happen.

Anonymous asked:

I heard that Soiree is actually the biggest pervert among the 5 main girls in Chronos despite her "ice queen" personality. Does that seem to be the case based on what you have translated so far?

Nobody in this game is a pervert by nature. The game is basically meant to be a Hollywood sci-fi monster movie, and apart from pausing to have gratuitous sex scenes, it's played completely straight.

Anonymous asked:

Considering the current state of your list, how long do you think it's gonna be before you're finally forced to translated something that isn't made by Lilith? A year? 2 years?

If everything stayed the way it is now, it would be quite a while. I would end up doing Mama way before anything non-Lilith. On the other hand, if the request situation changed drastically, or Lilith got their act together when it comes to localizing their own games, it could be considerably sooner.

Anonymous asked:

It's surprising to see that the Makai Tenshi Djibril series is so high on your list. I remember seeing it suggested a couple of times but I assumed something like the Kouyoku Senki ExS-Tia series would have been higher, or Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e. I'm glad to see it so high either way. Kouyoku Senki ExS-Tia, Makai Tenshi Djibril, and Alicesoft's Beat Blade games always felt like the trifecta of Magical Heroine Defeat games. Could you add another vote to Kouyoku Senki ExS-Tia?

Okay.

To be honest, it's only just snuck in there. Apart from two or three Lilith games, nothing on the list has many requests anymore.

Anonymous asked:

Which from the top 5 potential translations you posted do you personally want to do?

I'm not that thrilled about any of them.

How much does that factor in your choice?

It factors a little bit. Under normal circumstances, even if I'm interested in a game, I still have to wait until it's around the top of the list. The only exception so far is TA0, where (for both understandable and moronic reasons) I ended up going back on that, and working on it as soon as it came out. If I'm actively not keen to work on a game, I might decide to give it a little bit of a penalty. (Say, it requires X% more requests than it normally would.)

I know you have spoken about your disappointment with Mama wa Taimanin in the past, but does that effect it's viability in any way?

Somewhat, for the reasons stated above. If it were more of a Taimanin game, I could at least have some kind of action plot to focus on. And the fact that it seems to be actively unpopular doesn't encourage me. I'm also looking to get away from Taimanin in general for at least a little while, because it feels like I've been doing it nonstop. Given the range of patches I've done, you could be forgiven for not believing me when I say I'm picking from the top of the list.

It's a little disheartening that you may have to skip over Makai Tenshi Djibril but Taima Seiko Alice it is nice hearing that you're interest in Taima Seiko Alice may add it to the list. Frontwing only appears to be translating the Grisaia series of games though, since it's been their equivalent to the Taimanin series for the past decade.

Anonymous asked:

Hope this doesn't sound ungrateful, I really appreciate all you do, but out of curiosity why did you go through all the trouble of adding the TABA Kurenai scenes into Taimanin Kurenai, but not the Ayame scenes? Couldn't they have been inserted into the narrative?

The Ayame scenes involved Fuuma.

With TY2, I inserted every scene that had a direct connection to the game or its prequel: The TABA scenes that were meant to be set during the story, and the RPGX scenes that involved Shiranui with Real, Yazaki and Kuroi. Although none of them are strictly canon, they’re all meant to fit in with the story of the two Yukikaze games. With TA0, I inserted two gacha scenes that, according to Sasayama, were intended to feel like bonus stories for the game.

I couldn’t find any Ayame or Felicia scenes like this. There are any number of scenes I could have stuffed into the game, but if they don’t actually fit in with the story, there’s no point in going to the extra effort to port the scripts, let alone retranslate them.

Anonymous asked:

How's it going with the chronos translation? Having fun?

Of course not. I had forgotten how much I hate doing sci-fi, space battles in particular. But once it gets into the scenes, it's not as bad.

Anonymous asked:

What do you think of the anime adaptations of taimanin asagi? To me the constant zoom in/out, flashing background and loss of focus makes it seem like they are filming in a rave with a cheap camera. But others seem to like that style.

I never liked the TA1 adaptation. Style-wise, I think the fast pace and blurring is an inventive, but pretty obvious, way of disguising the repetitiveness of the animation. I haven't seen the adaptation for years, but as I recall, what really annoyed me was the lack of nuance conveyed in the story. I'm pretty sure it had Oboro engaging in the cellular restructuring in order to turn Asagi into a slut, whereas it was made clear in the VN that it was a form of torture, as well as Plan B, following her earlier attempts to torture Asagi with pain. Also, in the VN, you got Asagi fighting a losing battle against her increased sensitivity and heightened animal instincts. In the anime, you got things like her chewing and gargling semen unnecessarily. I don't remember many details, but I recall being annoyed that these important aspects had been lost.

Anonymous asked:

Which game is high on your translation list after this one?

Currently, the top of the list goes, in alphabetical order: Makai Tenshi Djibril, Mama wa Taimanin, Ore to Saeko-san to Netorare Mail, Tentacle and Witches, and Tsuma Netori.

Before anyone gets excited about Djibril being on there, I'll reiterate that I'm concerned about the existence and prolific output of Frontwing's own localization team. Not only do they have every capability of localizing the series themselves if they choose, but they would also have every capability of finding out about a fan translation and shutting it down if they felt like it, too. They're not like a normal Japanese company, which would be totally in the dark about the English-speaking internet. And that's not even taking into account whether the game could be patched in the first place, which I have not investigated in the slightest.

Also, if none of the supposed translation projects for Taima Seiko Alice come to fruition reasonably soon, I'm thinking of putting it back on the list, and it would be a pretty clear winner, no matter what.

Anonymous asked:

can you translate this game after you're done with current game? thanks

https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ214639.html

Doubtful, but I can put it on the requests list.

Anonymous asked:

Which Tsukihime is bestgirl?

Either Arcueid or Akiha, depending on the route. I can't speak for whatever they did in the remake.

Anonymous asked:

Do you know if there are any eroges/hentai with male sex slaves and no female ones?

Yeah, they're called yaoi.

Anonymous asked:

How do you feel about the gacha now being released as playable characters in action taimanin

Indifferent. I mean, who's left from the main cast? If they want to keep expanding, they've got to get their characters from somewhere.

Anonymous asked:

Thank you for your progress for the Chronos translation. Based on what you have covered so far, how much of the story do think the first partial patch will cover once you reach the 35% mark?

35% will cover almost the whole common route. Shortly after that, the path splits into an alien-focused route and a pirate-focused route.

Anonymous asked:

why do u enjoy degradation?

Hmm... Why does porn make pee-pee hard? Tricky one.

I think I just like seeing normal characters reach the point of being ludicrously perverted and sex-crazed. Especially if they treat it as a perfectly normal, casual thing.

Anonymous asked:

Which Lilith tropes do you really hate and wish they would stop doing?

The thing I've been thinking about recently is timeskips. They structure most games so that there are slight deviations after choices, but beyond that, the story is largely the same until the end. By doing that, you can have the degradation aspect, and still pull the character back to where they were originally for a good ending. But the downside is that the bad endings then skip to some point in the future, when the characters are heavily degraded, and you don't get to see anything in between. It would be far more satisfying if you could see the degradation progress to that point, and enjoy the character changes, rather than just getting a single tantalizing scene.

Anonymous asked:

From what I can gather Emina is basically Samus Aran, although that doesn't seem like that was always the case based on Chronos's concept art. Do you think Lilith-Soft had Butcha-U change the design to purposely make Emina look like Samus?

No idea. I would guess it's his own creative choice. He seems to like drawing Samus. He probably had a lot of creative input, considering that he keeps producing very similar alien-on-space marine games with different companies.

Also, are there any similarities in the narrative between the two character outside their physical appearance?

No idea. I've never played Metroid.

Anonymous asked:

Since Kagami Hirotaka is such a big One Piece fan, do you think that they based Asagi and Sakua's character designs on Robin and Nami, respectively?

Probably. From what I've heard, Lilith has been known to rip off designs that way.

Anonymous asked:

I think one of the Taimanin series's most underrated villains is Booker Walls from Summer Days. For an one off filler villain, he manage to accomplish a lot in his bad ending. Correct me if I am wrong on any of this: he is the only villain to knock up Murasaki, manages to get a harem made of the 3 "top billing" Taimanin without actually brainwashing them, and has the best "breeding ability" of any demon. Would you be interested in seeing this character (or at least a member of his species) make a return as a major character in a future installment?

I don't think he has that much potential. He's kind of a joke character for the side story, being the "Asagi otaku", and he has no fighting ability whatsoever. The main reason why he was able to accomplish those things is that he happened to take advantage of the characters when they were weakened. I can see him maybe making a cameo appearance in the Zero universe, but he doesn't seem like he has the makings of a proper villain. Asagi would have to have already been captured and restrained, or she would very easily kick his ass.

Anonymous asked:

Hi Mr Man, I was curious about some of the lines in Kurenai, because it looks like you added extra lines in the tl when text overflowed. Did you manually move everything over? Cuz if you did, that must've been an insane amount of extra work

I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to. If you mean the paragraphs that roll over to the next screen when a line is too long, I tend to do that in every game. Even in engines where it doesn't roll over automatically, it's no hardship to copy the code to make a new line. I did have to do all the word wrapping manually this time, but I learned from my mistakes in Ochiru Hitozuma: I put my text editor in a similar font, worked out how many characters would go across the screen, shrank the window to that width, and then just went down the file, creating line breaks at the right points. It took a few hours, but it wasn't hard.

Anonymous asked:

In regards to the aliens from Chronos, what can you tell us about their (rather confusing) life cycle? Also, when they impregnate one of the characters, do they actually fertilize the women at all or do they purely just need a warm orifice to incubate the eggs that they implant(i.e. like the Xenomorphs)?

I don't know anything for sure. I've only just started. I don't think it's a real pregnancy, although their bodies act like it is.

Anonymous asked:

What do you think of the aliens from Chronos? Would you say they are an improvement from most Lilith-Soft monsters since their high breeding ability isn't an informed attribute, unlike the orcs from the Taimanin series?

I find they're actually kind of boring so far. The orcs have personality—whether or not it's utilized properly depends on the story, but it's there. The aliens are just mindless rape machines. If you happen to have a serious monster rape/birthing/egg laying fetish, you'll probably be entertained (in fact, I think it'll be some people's favourite game), but they do nothing for me personally.
