If you started translating a VN and suddenly another translator insist on translating it as well would you stop translating or would you say screw it and continue translating? Would you end up comparing your work as well?

That's sort of what happened with Taimanin Yukikaze. However, that was because somebody claimed to have already finished a translation, which they were purportedly trying to sell to a localizer. I put it on hold while I waited to see if that would materialize, and in the meantime, Red from YukikazeACute came along. Once he was working on it, I had to abandon my own project.
