What part of translating a VN takes the most time? Is it the translating, implementing it into the VN itself, etc?

Editing. That's when you have to keep stopping to make (semi-final) decisions about how you're going to phrase things. There are always sentences that are too ambiguous, or long-winded, or simply don't work in English, and I can get stalled on them for unreasonable amounts of time.
