(Granted, the wiki is unofficial.) Did you have a source for his name when you translated Taimanin Murasaki because I didn't find any (unless you count dlsite)?

No, that's just a matter of conflicting transliteration styles. Fan translations tend to romanize all of the characters, whereas official translations don't. e.g., youkai and yōkai.
