Before you dropped Starless, did you play enough of the VN to get to any of the endings? (For the record, I believe the earliest one you can get is on the fourth day. And, no, I don't think that's a spoiler by itself from what I can pick up.)

I got several of the endings. It's just that none of them were good enough to compensate for how boringly drawn-out and repetitive that game was. The mere fact that it takes 3-5 straight minutes—on skip mode—to get past the mandatory party scene should give you some idea of the problem.
