Why is asagi's name spelled in katana rather than hiragana or kanji? I thought only foreign names were spelled with katana. And her sisters name is spelled with hiragana

I have no idea. You often see words spelled in katakana for the sake of emphasis or insinuation, but in this case, I would imagine it's a stylistic thing. Murasaki's name is spelled 紫 in the prose, but ムラサキ in the title and menus of her game.
