For the RPGX translations, how would you go about doing the polls for knowing which scenes people do or don't care about? Especially for people who haven't seen any of them, so they don't know which ones are good or bad.

Would it be about characters, scene descriptions, something else? Sadly, some popular characters have very boring scenes while some not-as-well-liked characters have good scenes.

I think a poll describing broadly what happens (mostly saying if it's vanilla or not) would be the way to go, but maybe too time consuming and maybe a bit too spoilery for some? And even then, vanilla might be boring to me but great for others, so a scene description might not be it either? And a lot of people will still want to see all the popular characters scenes no-matter-what. And then be disappointed :)

Or maybe, just maybe, I am overthinking it a bit? :)

I'm not going to bother describing the scenes, because I've barely played any of them myself. I'm working on the assumption that people will either know which characters they like, or which scenes they're interested in seeing. The polls are not going to be like my requests list. There will only be a small number of choices each time, and there will be rules and structure to them. I've written the full details out in that longer post, which I'll be dropping sometime in August.

Doing the event stories should bolster support for the less well-known characters, since they're basically advertisements for that gacha cycle. Plus, the game goes through various phases where they're really in love with a certain character's gimmick or situation. First it's Hebiko, then it's Mai, then it's Clone Asagi and her Scooby Doo detective agency gang, etc. So if, say, Mai has a good scene, and nobody can really remember who she is or why they should care, they might feel differently after seeing enough of her in the story.
