I said I was going to post an update on the gacha situation, but this isn't really it. I wrote a long, detailed post about this whole thing, and then decided not to post it yet, lest it gain the wrong kind of attention. Back on Tumblr, DMM was getting kind of annoying about taking down the TY2 patch just because I had put gacha scenes in it, and they didn't stop until I moved here. So, although I'll still talk about it on this blog, I think I'm actually going to wait until shortly after the official end of service to lay out the full situation. I also might not do it directly through this blog; I'm thinking of using a Rentry page for this stuff, so as to not tie it so obviously back here if somebody wants to link it.

Suffice to say, I have an idea of how I'm going to balance gacha and VNs. I shouldn't have to skip (almost) any story, but I will (at least temporarily) skip the scenes that nobody cares about. There will be proper voting involved. I won't be able to keep up the pace of the official release, because things happen and I'm busy. But from what I've seen, a lot of early scenes are fairly short, so that could make it easier to keep putting out updates, even if I'm still occupied with something else. I may also release it in the form of a viewer patch, but that's if I can ever figure out how to run the patcher tool, which has failed on three operating systems so far.
