How do you decide if you translate japanese sentence ending bits like ne and yo (for isn't it and y'know)?

It's mostly dependent on context, sentence flow, speaking styles, etc. Sometimes it will be explicitly followed by a question mark, so that decides things for me. I have a bad habit of trying to convey all the little minutia of a sentence, which I've needed to unlearn because these things get way too awkward in English if they're used to excess. They're used much more casually in Japanese than any equivalent we have, so sometimes it can be left to implication, phrased in a way that more indirectly implies an expectation of agreement (e.g., "That was sure a pain," instead of "That was a pain, wasn't it?").
