What do you think of Reddit?

I'm glad that there's still something akin to a forum in existence, but it would be better if they got rid of the upvote/downvote system. All that does is encourage people to try and get upvotes by playing up to common sensibilities in the userbase, and avoid saying anything to the contrary for fear of being downvoted and hidden. It essentially creates the conditions for an echo chamber, and once an echo chamber is established, its primary effect will be to produce the stupidest people imaginable.

Apart from that, I'm not crazy about the branching discussion trees, and I absolutely hate the useless "new" design. If I ever have to go there for any reason, I use the old layout.
