Do you recall how you got into Thief in the first place?

I have no idea how I first heard about it, but I liked sneaking up and whacking people in Oblivion, which is basically just a watered-down version of the same experience. I remember looking up the Deadly Shadows tutorial level on YouTube and noting that it worked similarly. But obviously, it's only once you play a game like that that you realize just how much more immersive it is. I don't think I even got all the way into Bafford's manor before I was struck by how well all the elements clicked with one another.
