Nothing is currently being translated. I haven't gotten any work done since last month. I damaged my ear doing something completely innocuous, and have been busy getting fucked over by the Canadian healthcare system ever since. I may not be able to do the upcoming April Fool's event, but hopefully I should be able to continue at some point. However, the last thing I need at the moment is to hear high-pitched voices screaming "IKUUUUUUU~"

I just try to do the best I can. I'm under no delusion that anything's been perfect. But I do take very seriously the fact that I'm representing someone else's work, and that the role of a translator is to try and communicate what's been said without distorting it too much. It's not always easy (and is occasionally impossible), but I hate seeing people take unnecessary liberties with translations, and so I try to work to the kind of standard I would personally like to see from others.

The more instances of Other winning the vote, the more likely it is.

However, I cannot commit to doing any future translations at this point, apart from the one I'm already working on. I'll get the next patch out regardless, but life is punching me in the face right now.

No. I'm not even playing Action, even though I want to. I think that more than one gacha game is too much for me, even if it is simplistic.

Like everyone else, I saw that Japanese preview stream. My impression of Squad is that they did a great job translating the old, recognizable 2D art into 3D models, but they screwed up the gameplay horribly. There's nothing wrong with turn-based RPG systems, but the one they had looked incredibly boring, easy, simplistic and unfun.

Sadly, yes, because thanks to the wonders of Canadian health care, it takes three weeks just to get a doctor's appointment. We're strongly considering starting an atomic weapons program just so that we can nuke ourselves and get it over with.
