I don't consume a lot of yaoi, mainly for aesthetic reasons such as the art being total shit. For some reason, yaoi artists are convinced that men look more rugged and handsome if they have the pointiest features imaginable. The ones that don't fall into this trap never seem all that great, either. I played Absolute Obedience way back when, and I found the couple scenes I played through very underwhelming.

In anime/manga terms, on the other hand, I would highly recommend Love Stage to anyone who's interested in absolute narrative trainwrecks. They reached the natural conclusion of their story, couldn't think of anywhere to go with it, and decided to give one of the characters hypnosis-induced amnesia so that the plot could happen all over again.

The word refers specifically to "Death" as a personified entity, and there aren't a lot of good alternatives that get the meaning across.

Also, I know you didn't translate Kangoku Senkan 3 and Cara. The translator decided to go with Cara and Kila. I have no idea what it is supposed to be, but it seems to me it's more plausible for them to be Carla (as I've seen somewhere) and Kira. Which is it?

It's officially Cara and Kila. That said, Lilith's own official transliterations can be inconsistent in various places: New Solar/New Soral; Naomi Evans/Naomi Evance; Alicia Viewstroem/Alicia Bystroem; Crackle/Kurakuru; etc.

The top five has changed since the last time I mentioned it, owing to a game from one series being picked up (which makes me suspicious that the rest of the series could follow), and the Seigi no Henshin Heroine project looking not completely dead. With these off the board for the moment, the top contenders on the requests list are, in alphabetical order: Boku no Elf Onee-san, Himekishi Lilia, Mama wa Taimanin, Ore to Saeko-san to Netorare Mail, and Tentacle and Witches.

No idea. It's a hell of a coincidence that simultaneously, RPGX goes into infinite maintenance, the place where the viewer gets posted dies, and the Mega folder with all the patches gets taken down. I don't know about you, but I blame the Deep State. If the guy who makes the patches does surface anywhere, somebody should mention it in the comments. These viewers are the only things preventing online games from becoming lost media.

That definitely helps, but I think the main reason I've kept this going is that I've arranged all my free time around it, and it's just habitual by this point. On occasions when I'm too tired to work at all, and I find myself with a few hours for recreation, I genuinely struggle to think of anything to do with it.

The scene in question is the Asagi/Oboro scene from a few months ago. It's been fairly well-requested, and it's the most thematically appropriate choice, because it perfectly shows where we've come in the last decade—i.e., bland gacha hell, with flimsy premises and half of the original voice actors gone.

I do prefer human translated VN, or course, but not a lot of people do it. It would be much better if AI got at least the pronouns right.

Or, if impossible to get the pronouns right, can we get the Japanese to change their language? That might be the easier solution, at this point.

I would say that within five years, it will be about as good as you could expect it to get. It can even decode slurred speech now, to some extent. The real problem is whether it will still hallucinate things that aren't in the original sentence, which you would never know unless you were comparing the output to the original. That was what kind of ticked me off about people being impressed by DeepL, when I could tell how wildly wrong a lot of its outputs seemed to be.

I'm okay with vanilla as long as it's not boring. For example, the kind of hypnosis games that don't venture into dark territory, but make up for that by forcing characters to do really stupid shit.

For KiriKiri games, there's a string that can be changed, but I don't remember anything about Vinos Player. If the title bar for the game is in Japanese, then that means I never found one. Otherwise, it has to be in one of the files that I patched.
