It technically could happen, but there aren't any games that have been very highly requested. Usually, people just ask for "a Bishop game", rather than any particular one. And I can't tell the difference between them, so I don't know which the good ones are supposed to be.

Technically no, but only because there are so many proper VNs that stick sex scenes in to sell more copies. Fate/stay night is probably the most famous example of that. You could remove all (or almost all) of its hentai content, and it would probably improve the game.

I don't even think that's a complete game. I think it got stuck in development hell for so long that they just had to shit out an ending for it and get it over with. They probably have plans for a continuation of the story, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I don't know, as I haven't looked into it. I have read (or been told by somebody; I don't remember) that Nephrinn of Dark Translations tried to do the fourth one, but couldn't create a patch.
Also, what thread is this? I've been getting quite a number of requests for this series out of nowhere recently.

I dunno, why do we still have Daylight Savings Time? I've heard some conjecture that it would be too politically damaging for any one politician to come forth and champion the cause of smut, but I don't know how true that is. Most of the time the censorship doesn't matter that much anyway, so I think people have just learned to live with it.

It's fairly bottom of the barrel. I don't want to give out specifics, but a game can get into the number ten position with a little over a dozen requests. (As such, there are several number tens at the moment.) The current number one is far above that, and has a significant lead over the runner-up, but still has only a third as many requests as TY2 did. At this point, there are a lot of games that have a decent amount of demand, but very few that garner heavy interest.

Probably not a lot, but I know they exist. I'm aware of one woman offhand who's got the games, tapestries, artbooks, figurines, onaholes she can't even use, etc. I expect it's far more likely in Japan, where Taimanin in particular has a certain level of pop culture relevance.

That's pretty unlikely. Most of the Japanese entertainment industry is concerned solely with the domestic audience. The VN sector in particular is specifically geared towards workers who are looking to spend their regular paycheck, which is why so many of them come out on the same day. They're certainly beginning to see the West as a potential market, but it's going to take a larger cultural shift for them to start catering to foreigners the way they've started doing with video games.

It's almost certainly what I'll move on to once I'm able to get to another project. It has far and away the most requests of anything on the list, and it's been two years since I last heard from the guy. However, he may have a little more time to suddenly pop back into existence, because there are already early signs that this year is going to be as annoyingly busy for me as the last.

I had some Japanese knowledge, but I obviously also consulted dictionaries (both J-J and J-E) and did a lot of Google searches when there was unfamiliar vocabulary. Which did happen a lot, given that I'm mostly dealing with fantasy, sci-fi and mythological themes. Unfortunately, I actually don't "speak" Japanese very well anymore, because I haven't had time to exercise any other skill besides reading and rephrasing. Language is very much a use-it-or-lose-it sort of thing, so learn from my example and make sure to keep practicing all the essential skills, even the ones you don't think you'll need.
Once again, Google sent the next two questions into my spam filter, and I didn't notice for four days. Sorry.

I typically don't have favourites, but it would probably be TA3. That was obviously trying to be their magnum opus.
