Would you rather hire tentacles or orcs as subordinates to take care of your volcano lair's cleaning service?
I don't associate either of those things with cleanliness. I doubt they let them into restaurants.
Better than nothing.

I heard that Taimanin RPGX global will be released in Johren and after checking on their website it have page develompent about that, any more info about that?
No. I can't possibly know more about that than what the company itself is telling us.

If you get isekai'ed to the discipline universe. And got enrolled into the St. Arcadia university where they took and interest in you. Would that be a "oh no!" Moment or an "oh no?" Moment?
At a bare minimum, it would be a "Keep that syringe away from my testicles" moment.

Do you think Chronos could have used some more CG images? I think that they should have included images of the girls when they are found knocked out and pregnant, and that one scene where Silva randomly grabs Emina's boob.
I think there's room to add more content. It has a shorter script and fewer CGs than just about any other game they were producing at the time. That being said, it's pretty clear to me that they wanted to keep this a fairly fast-paced game, and not let the scenes slow down the story too much. From what I've gathered so far, the pirate route goes the other way, turning it into more of a typical Lilith game. And so, it naturally does the same thing that every Lilith game does: It skips from the training to an ending where the characters are completely broken, without showing what's in between. That's where we could do with an injection of content, to help space out those events.

I played Chronos using your first patch, which only covers the main story up to Silvia's shower scene. How many endings will the second patch cover? I know you said that it will cover the good ending, but would it also cover the ending where all 5 girls after captured by the queen?
The second patch will cover the entire alien route, including all of its bad endings.

Thanks for the Chronos translation, can't wait for you to complete the rest. Although for what I seen so far, wouldn't Emina's military rank be Colonel instead of Captain? Going by rankings in the U.S. Space Force, Colonel would be one step up from Major, which is Silvia's rank. Plus the Black Lilith's website list her rank as 大佐 which translated to Colonel, granted I don't if they changed that in the actual game.
It also translates to Captain when used in a naval context. I've been treating the three branches of the Space Force separately, rather than equating them to marines, which appear to use army ranks. That may change. I've gone through a lot of revisions when it comes to these terms.
One of the problems I have to consider is how obnoxious it's going to be to use certain ranks as often as they're used in the original Japanese text. Ensign Claire is a lot less of a mouthful than Second Lieutenant Claire, with the latter becoming undeniably grating if you have to read it too often. In a moment of tension, or fast-paced action scene, the two-syllable rank flows better. But you can only translate it as Ensign if you interpret it as a naval rank. I might just have to say "screw it", and mix and match as needed.

Have you written any fanfic, come up with any ideas for any, or anything like that?
No. If I had any workable ideas, I would probably try to develop something new. I'm iffy on fanfiction in general. Nobody ever seems to get any characters from anything right, ever. Plus, people like to shove their obsessions into it. I can live without reading 400 pages about how Bart Simpson and Scrooge McDuck are secretly gay for each other.
Anonymous asked:
Do you or would you delegate tasks? Such as someone else doing proofreading or breaking up chapters etc?
Maybe if a project were very big. Otherwise, I think it's more valuable to keep the translation style consistent, and for me to be familiar with all the details of the game, so that I can detect problems more easily.
Here's the first patch for Chronos. I would advise waiting for the second patch before playing, however. This game has a very fast pace compared to other Lilith titles, mainly because it's trying to be a Hollywood monster movie. Stopping in the middle would be like watching one, pausing after thirty minutes, and then trying to resume from that point a few months later. The second patch will cover the full alien route, which leads up to the good ending.
Work has been keeping me a lot busier than I expected this year, and particularly over the summer. My workload should taper off fairly soon, though, so the next two parts shouldn't take as long to do. It's essentially a short game.

Could you show us the list of VN translation requests you have, and the ones you plan on translating after Chronos?
Also, if it's not on the list already, i'd like to request Onna Kentoushi Minerva ~Monster Colosseum~ pretty please
I'm not going to show the list, because that affects what people ask for. (Also, it's over 300 games long at this point.) The situation is exactly the same as it was in this post, which I'll link to rather than have to retype the whole Djibril explanation. Right now, I'm leaning more heavily towards taking on Taima Seiko Alice than I was at the time, unless one of the phantom translation projects actually materializes.

When you answered the "How do you think the hentai industry could make more money?" question, were you referencing Taimanin Asagi? If not, were you referencing any other hentai? If so, which one(s)?
(For the record, I'm not the person who asked the original question.)
I was just answering the question. That's how you make more money. You cater to the most people possible, which means becoming less niche and more populist. You exploit the habits of stupid people (in this case, their gacha gambling addiction); appeal to common character flaws (such as narcissism, or the tendency to obsessively waifu characters); and follow trends that explode in popularity (Vtubing, etc.). It's the same with anything. It's the reason why so many video games now try to "empower the player", even when that's not a good idea.
Anonymous asked:
which Gacha character do you think has the potential to have her own vn based on her previous h scenes alone, i know not Kirara since all her stuff is vanilla
If based on scenes alone, I have no idea. I usually don't play through the hentai scenes, especially for OC units. Frankly, none of them impress me, or look like they could be central characters in a story.

honestly im starting to feel like lilith is slowly drifting away from ero games(at least in the sense of visual novels) and leaning more into games like action taimanin and rpgx recently they even seem to be working on a new thing for mobile. do you think its a matter of time before they step out of eroge genre all together? or maybe one day theyll start working on things like yukikaze 3 and other games like maybe a towako sequel?
I don't know if they'll stop completely, but it's definitely tilting away from pornography. If they're prepared to run three concurrent gacha games, with two of them being "safe for work", then it's a fair bet that what they've been doing has been successful. And remember, RPG may not be as popular as the RPGX version, but it did enable the series to have widespread public advertising. Being able to openly advertise, and put themselves in popular app stores without needing to censor things (with the exception of when the characters have to wear their iBurqas), is a lot more helpful to them than just circulating information among eroge and DMM circles.
I don't see them doing many (or, any) VNs for as long as RPGX remains successful. It's taking up all of their creative resources. They would need to invest their profits in hiring more writers, and then figure out how to balance the workloads of their top artists between VN projects and gacha. And based on the last eight years, I don't see that happening.
Anonymous asked:
How do you think the hentai industry could make more money?
Do absolutely nothing but appeal to the lowest common denominator. Go all-in on gacha, make everything vanilla, cater exclusively to the kind of people who self-insert. Also remember to cut corners everywhere. The thing that separates hentai from live action pornography is the skill and effort required, so if you can find a way to appeal to the most people with the least effort, you'll be raking in the dosh. Your fans will hate you, but who cares? You're rich.

Are there any characters you wish were shown more or done more with. I really like Mizuki Shiranui but feel she is wasted in TY1 and TY2. I wish they would expand more on how she got broken. I know there are a few extra scenes and they basically drip feed some info about what happened to her but the journey to her getting broken would be great to see.
Kiryuu. I don't dislike Comic Relief Kiryuu, but even in that capacity he barely got used. As I recall, he had 37 lines in TA3.
Anonymous asked:
Do you feel Cara would have sell better without a Kangoku Senkan like plot?
I can't possibly answer that. I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I've always seen people complain that the vampire themes are wasted on a generic school setting, so if there's any room for improvement, that's where you would start.
Anonymous asked:
Is there a character in the Gachaverse in Taimanin you think has overstayed her welcome?
That's not so much of a problem anymore. In TABA, you could get so incredibly sick of Lilim and Minasaki, or obnoxious characters like Lune, who didn't fit in with the tone of the series whatsoever. There was a point where they were suddenly trying to make characters like Lune or Shisui very important, regardless of how much sense it made, or how well they fit in. To me, it always seemed to speak to the fact that they were proceeding without any kind of long-term plan. Like with most of Fuuma's decisions, these characters would become regulars all of a sudden just because the plot said so.
The situation is slightly different with RPGX, which has a different tone, feel and setting. The original characters often feel like they've been shoved rather awkwardly into events, either to promote the current units, or to remind people about their existence. However, this makes it feel more like the school/world has an expanded cast of recurring characters, so when they are included, it doesn't seem so clumsily contrived. (What does feel clumsily contrived is that every single one of them wants Fuuma's dick.)
The major thing that happens nowadays is that the writers will fall in love with a character and their gimmick (such as Mai, with her paper powers), or a small group of background characters (such as Clone Asagi and her hodgepodge of freeloaders), and the events will then focus inordinately on them for months afterward. Fortunately, they seem to rotate between these sort of things often enough for it to only become mildly annoying.
