I saw in a previous post that you mentioned that Lilith no longer makes games, and I was wondering how you felt about this? Was it surprising (considering how graphic these VNs can be?) Or was this one of those things you saw, said 'ok', and moved on?

It's not surprising at this point, given that their VN production had slowed more and more since TABA started. I would obviously prefer that they keep making VNs, but there's no way they could dedicate the same kind of care to them, now that they're producing so much gacha content. Some of the story events in RPGX are about a tenth of the length of a full game, and that's not even counting the unit H scenes.

If it helps, Shizuru is right next to Yukikaze during the scene, with both Washizu as well as Inui being nearby. There are also other students watching, though the art doesn't depict them. I also think it occurs late in Yukikaze's route.

That was intentional. It's short for precum, in modern porn-writing slang.

Still, thanks for reporting it to me. Most people who believed they found an error would have ignored it.

A ridiculously long time, because I had multiple failed attempts over the course of almost a decade. That's the main reason why questions about learning Japanese are explicitly on the do-not-ask list: the full, detailed explanation of that is annoying to have to constantly retype.

As is borderline-tradition by this point, I'm here to help you make your white Christmas a little whiter, with the gift of masturbation. So with that in mind, have these two RPGX scenes, lovingly handcrafted, just for you.

The first of these is the latest KS2 scene, which I chose to do mainly because I set a precedent by translating all the other ones. Whereas Maya's last scene was very vanilla, this one is considerably more hardcore. It's also NTR, so disregard it if you're squeamish about that sort of thing.

The other scene is the recent Young Asagi and Sakura one, which I did by popular request. Originally, I was actually going to ignore it, because it's not technically "Zero" Asagi. I was hoping that it would fit in with the story of TA0, the way the first scenes did, but this is strictly RPGX multiverse stuff. That said, it's a very good scene if you happen to like the prostitution-themed ones.

There's one minor translation note that I want to mention. At the start of the TA0 scene, there's a pun in which "Sakura Lady" identifies herself as a defender of justice. Instead of "justice", the script uses a homophone which translates to "sexual techniques". I thought it was too cumbersome to explain in the viewer (which, you'll notice, has a far more cramped text box), so I replaced it with an absolutely shit pun in a similar vein. I cringe when I read it, and now you can, too.

EDIT: If you try to add the scripts to your own viewer, don't forget to copy the fixed background images. I did in five minutes what Lilith simply couldn't be bothered to.

Thank you for the Chronos translation. I just got the good ending. Do you know how many people escape the ship? The wording makes it sound like only Emina, Soiree, Claire, and Silvia escaped. Too bad this game is definitely not getting a sequel. I'll just considered one of the bad endings as the real ending in my head cannon. I can't wait to see how the pirate route plays out.

They're not clear at all about who does and doesn't make it out. In the bad ending branch, there are definitely crewmembers on the bridge, who stand around and do nothing as disaster unfolds. I have to assume that they survive, but the game clearly doesn't care about the male soldiers, and it's hard to get a sense of how many there are in any given scene.

FYI, the pirate route is more like an extended bad ending. With the focus on human beings, it goes back to the typical Lilith format that we're all familiar with. There are also signs that it was meant to branch off at a different point in the story, but I'll talk about that when I release it.

I never had any contact info for him. He would just pop up every few months to give me updates. I don't quite consider the project dead, like Taima Seiko Alice probably is. That depends on how accurate you want the translation to be. It's definitely not ATLAS-tier, but you're still only going to get a rough translation out of it. In my experience, the chief problem with DeepL is that it simply makes stuff up. You'll get anything from basic paraphrasing, to invented details, to sentences that are completely wrong in every way. But no matter which of these it gives you, it will always output a sentence that sounds convincingly accurate. It's good by machine translation standards, but be aware that it still has the same exact pitfalls—it's just better at hiding them.

The bad endings in this game are always some variation of "the heroines get raped, and everyone else dies". Which is natural, given the alien monster movie premise. The one you're referring to is dark, but not as dark as TA0's Murasaki brain- and limb-liquefaction scene.

I do it almost daily, and in one big chunk. I need to have momentum, which means that it's not advisable to work in little bits and keep stopping all the time. It's generally for several hours at night, depending on how much time I can allocate to it, and how quickly I get tired.

That varies enormously, depending on how tired I am, how much time I've got, and how difficult it is to work on a specific scene. There are some scenes where (usually for a combination of reasons) the lines take longer to do, and it's very difficult to gain momentum. This isn't even necessarily because the text is difficult to comprehend; it can be that plenty of lines are easy to understand, but hard to phrase naturally in English. If I get enough lines that require serious consideration, then the whole process becomes very stop-start, and I find it harder to make progress.

As an example of this contrast, the last time I did editing, I got 200 lines done before I became too tired to concentrate. But there have been other occasions when I've had more time, and struggled to even get 75. Remember that I once spent an entire night having to look up Shakespeare and Kurt Vonnegut references for just three lines of KS2, and you get an idea of how annoying things can become.

So, if I have to get up early for jury duty, so I can drive forty minutes to the courthouse, because there isn't one anywhere near me but I still have to fucking go, and I completely fail to fall asleep early, and just end up lying around in bed for four hours, and then get up the next day on about four hours of sleep, and then start to get ready, and check my phone, and I see that there's an email telling me that the trial's been called off, and then I try to get back to sleep, but now I'm awake, and I have to pee every twenty minutes because that's what my bladder's like, and I spend more hours not falling asleep in bed, and then I have to get up for real, and I spend the whole day tired, and sluggish, and walking into doors, and my brain barely functions by the end of it, and I have to go to bed really early to compensate, but I still can't get to sleep immediately, so I spend the next few days more sleep-deprived than usual, and it's all the fault of the fucking government, then it's a teensy little bit annoying.

This wasn't recent, for anybody who's coming in late. This was when I was trying to finish off Taimanin Kurenai, which made for pretty atrocious timing.

I really can't answer this. I dimly recall Black in TABA not mattering until the end, when they flat-out recycled the ending of TA3. With RPGX, I made the mistake of thinking that the story would mostly continue through events, like the previous game, so I only read the first chapter. Now there are all sorts of alternate Black forms and a "true Edwin Black", and I don't know what the hell is going on. And with Action Taimanin, I didn't have a phone that could run it at launch, and I don't have time to keep up with two gachas, so it kind of slipped me by.
