There's no path of degeneracy here; I was always like this. I first downloaded the TA1 CG set in around 2006 without even knowing what it was. Those were still the days when very little nukige was translated, so I didn't bother to look into it. And then, when it got a translation patch, I tried it out coincidentally, without realizing it was the same game. At around that time, the sort of content that was in TA1 was pretty unusual for a translated VN. We mainly only found stuff like that in manga.

Even though I didn't like TA2, that was the one that really stuck with me, because it went to the trouble of establishing an interesting setting, and then did absolutely nothing with it. And then Nephrinn, for whatever stupid reason, never did any of the other games that came out. Not even the short ones. So that setting basically tantalized me for years until I stepped up and did something about it.

Yeah, turns out the main characters get raped.

Apart from that, there's the fact that Felicia is Edwin Black's daughter, which I think is pretty well-known at this point. And the whole universe-resetting thing. These games are not so plot-heavy that there's a wealth of spoilers to be had in the first place.

I can consider it, but I don't expect it to ever get near the top of the list. Guro is something that probably only appeals to a minority of this blog's audience.

The top five are, in alphabetical order: Kouyoku Senki ExS-Tia, Mama wa Taimanin, Ore to Saeko-san to Netorare Mail, Seigi no Henshin Heroine o Sasaeru Ore to Aku no Onna Kanbu, and Tentacle and Witches.

As usual, I have to state that doing Mama is pointless if Shiravune keeps localizing Taimanin games, and I haven't looked into ExS-Tia at all, so it may not even be possible.

Natsu No kusari is a short vn about a really f'ck up protagonist which i found to be an interesting read if you're into darker stories.

I can add those to the request list. But given that those are popular companies, I wouldn't be shocked to see those games get localized before they ever worked their way towards the top. In fact, now that I look at it, Minikui Mojika no Ko is already slated for a JAST release, so you can look forward to playing it in only fourteen years' time.

This post should be sufficient for that. I don't like hosting submitted patches, since it makes lots of people think I had something to do with them. I only do it for Run Q because he doesn't want to get a blog for whatever reason. Also, I'm pretty sure the only thing that was "updated" about this patch was the encoding, so that you wouldn't need to be in Japanese locale to run it.

I have no idea. You often see words spelled in katakana for the sake of emphasis or insinuation, but in this case, I would imagine it's a stylistic thing. Murasaki's name is spelled 紫 in the prose, but ムラサキ in the title and menus of her game.

You're a little late to the party here. They already did TA1. Besides which, Lilith themselves tried to localize these games previously, so I was very much prepared for this. That's why Mama is likely off the table, even if it is hanging around near the top of the requests list. That said, I still intend to update TA3 at some point, since that was practically a rush job compared to the way I do things now.

Like the last time this happened, it remains to be seen whether this will spread outside the big cash cow series and cut me off from other Lilith games. But then again, at this point, there are only a few that people really want anyway.

I find them completely pointless. Seeing up a character's skirt incidentally makes a certain amount of sense, in the right circumstances, but I don't like those ridiculous angles that people use when they're going out of their way to do it. As far as I'm concerned, either make it pornographic or don't bother. All that a pantyshot does is tell you that the character uses underwear, which is not a fact that is likely to set the libido ablaze.

I'm fine with doing older VNs. However, the older the engine is, the more difficult it might be to patch. For example, I'm somewhat interested in Gyakushuu, but I've heard that Dark Translations tried and failed to make patches for it back in the day, and I don't know if the situation has changed since then. I've personally also encountered issues, messing around with older games. In one case, I tried to unpack a Black Rainbow game, and couldn't even locate the script file.
