It's not a matter of reconsidering anything. I'll do it if there are enough requests, but it's not part of my promise to patch all of the Taimanin games, because it barely qualifies as one. It's also widely regarded as a disappointment, so that doesn't help me build enthusiasm for it.

I considered that at the time, but it doesn't fit. I only added the scenes that were directly tied into TY1 or 2. That scene has a completely different setup, and Rinko's voice actress had been replaced by that point. If they produce another RPGX scene with a distinct connection to the series, I might do it as a standalone viewer release, but I'm not adding anything more to the game. You have no idea how complicated that turned out to be.

There definitely are elves in the gacha games, but they technically wouldn't be Taimanin, because they still fall under the demon category.

Here's the second partial patch. You may notice that there are still untranslated strings in certain places. My official stance on this is "Tough shit." I searched through absolutely every file I could find (well over 200 system files), and I sure as hell can't find them. Just like with Ochiru Hitozuma, I can't even find the string to edit the title bar. The interface is probably about as complete now as it's ever going to be.

Depending on when you last saved, you may encounter errors when trying to load your game. You'll have to start over from scratch and skip through if that happens. Also, there's a path deviation at the 70% mark, so I haven't included a warning before everything turns Japanese again.

I would imagine through an agency or something. It's not really much different from getting a normal voice actor, which is why there's a fair bit of overlap between porn voice acting and anime voice acting.

That's already kind of happening, but it's mainly with the bigger developers, and centred around successful franchises. Any studio which can't afford the costs of starting a gacha game, or doesn't have a cohesive franchise to build one around, is going to keep doing VNs, simply because they don't have an alternative. Even a relatively notable studio like Empress can fail if it doesn't have a strong enough gimmick. They floundered pretty hard, and had no choice but to go right back to full VNs.

Can I also request a rough number of titles on your actual request list? :D

It's currently 312, but the vast majority of those have only one request.

It's easy to forget this, because the whole concept has become so watered-down and routine, but the original idea was that the sensitivity increase was a form of torture. Asagi has incredible mental resilience, and has made herself resistant to physical pain, but she hasn't trained herself to resist sexual pleasure. If you overload her body on pleasure, it becomes unbearable. She's not supposed to be a slut: She's supposed to be someone with enormous strength of will, resisting constant attacks against an exploited weakness, in an increasingly desperate situation.

They don't take that aspect quite as seriously these days, but it's still pretty fundamental to most of the series. The characters are meant to be capable fighters, who are subjected to abuse and have to overcome their circumstances. Plus, "3000x sensitivity" has become a meme that's inextricably linked to the series, and they have no reason not to exploit that.

Himekishi Lilia is definitely an option. Djibril is still one that concerns me: Frontwing may not be doing anything with it now, but they have localized pretty much everything else they've ever made at this point. It's not unlikely at all that they would go back and do it themselves. I imagine that the only impediment would be the fact that the old games have low resolutions by modern standards, and that might make them seem unfit for republication today.

Also, even if a game is older, it isn't necessarily possible to patch it. All the same kind of problems apply. I recently looked into doing a 15-year-old game (don't ask which one), and all my attempts to extract a script resulted in garbled nonsense.

I've had people ask for that a lot, and the answer's still maybe. The major problem with them is that they're long, so that's a major investment of time. I also still can't really tell the difference between most of them, because they've got broadly the same setting, themes, colourists, etc.

Don't forget about MangaGamer, which still releases games from some big names on a pretty consistent basis. Also, Fakku has started to take time out from DMCAing their competition, to get in on the VN localization game themselves. Titles that used to be ripe for the picking are now very attractive to companies like that. I used to be interested in doing Orcsoft games, but now multiple companies are translating them, apparently including Orcsoft themselves (or, at least, some company they've contracted). I wouldn't be shocked if Pin-Point or Bishop were next.

And then there are the translation services from the likes of DLsite and DMM. Any company, no matter how small, can potentially have those people do the localization for them. It seems like Japanese companies are starting to realize that there's a Western market for their games, so there's no telling what may or may not get translated. Even if a localizer is lazy or uses machine translation, I don't think most people would even care unless it was noticeably bad. Sure, you could do a fan version to fix it up, but most people are going to gravitate towards the official translation just because it's official.

Noted. I'll do anything that's popularly requested, but people know me for doing Lilith games, so that's mainly what they ask for. However, it needs to be remembered that anything good-looking these days is probably going to be localized, and there's no guarantee that it's possible to patch any particular game.

They obviously have to contrive a situation where these powerful characters can be captured and put under restraint. But I don't think most of the situations are too unreasonable or unbelievable: Early instances either involve subterfuge or the character being absolutely exhausted after a tough fight. It's only in the later games that characters become easily tricked or blackmailed over nothing.

At a guess, I would say that the blame for this lies largely on Iida Kazuhiko. I know absolutely nothing about him, but according to VNDB, he seems to be the one responsible for the story of Taimanin Kurenai and part of Asagi Zero. Those are both games where the characters fall into the porn situation incredibly easily, so I doubt it's a coincidence that they're the two Taimanin titles that he wrote the story for.

There are still NTR scenes in RPGX. The Maika scene I just did is an example of that, although it's missing any kind of detailed buildup. The stupid "everybody in the world is in love with Fuuma" harem concept is perfect for one-off NTR scenes, when they do them.

The most NTR-ish scene I can think of is the Hebiko bridal dress scenario. I only skimmed over some of it, so these details may be wrong, but the gist seemed to be: Fuuma and Hebiko go undercover at a sex party to get on a bad guy's good side. They are compelled to have sex in public at the bad guy's suggestion, so as not to blow the mission. And then, while they're still in the middle of the act, the bad guy begins to seduce her. Fuuma has to watch as the fat old man takes his own turn with her, and totally outclasses him right before his eyes.

There's no sense of permanence or continuity with the gacha scenes, but I would say that that concept easily rivals anything you would find in TY2. If you're okay with those kinds of one-offs, then the future isn't all that bleak for you.
